What is covered in the Training Program?

  • Understanding the theory of Social Skill development.
  • Assessing Social Skills—determining the skills to support / develop, and how and when.
  • Effectively facilitating a Social Skills Program (from learning a new skill to generalisation).
  • How to use the CCA ‘Autism Friendly’ Social Skills model.
  • The value and importance of personal choice and supporting ‘self understanding’ for the Social Skills learner.
  • Developing a Social Skills Curriculum—how to plan, deliver and evaluate your own program.
  • Participants will be expected to complete activities to further develop skills and understanding.
